Chip Chalmers is Filmmaker in Residence teaching Film Directing at the FSU College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts. Before coming to teach in Tallahassee 4 years ago, he was directing filmed episodic television in Los Angeles for 28 years.

Chip’s credits include “Miami Vice”, “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, and “Melrose Place”. Between directing and assistant directing, he has over a thousand episodes of television to his credit. In between television shows, he always found time to direct on the stage in LA. Among his stage directing credits are the world premiere of WAITING by Lisa Soland (Just published by Samuel French), the world premiere of A COUPLE OF GUYS AT THE MOVIES starring Henry Polic II, and a national touring company of GREATER TUNA.
