Guy William Molnar is a Visiting Assistant Professor
of Performance and a Designated Linklater Teacher teaching acting and voice
in the FSU School of Theatre. For FSU he directed The Mystery of Edwin
Drood and also appeared onstage as Larkin in Six Degrees of Separation and
Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. He will direct both Dracula and The
Secret Garden at TLT this season.
An actor, director, and musician, he has performed and/or
directed at Riverside Shakespeare, The Shakespeare Theatre
in Washington DC, the Arizona Theatre Company,
Michigan Ensemble Theatre, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, among others.
Favorite roles have included Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing,
Caius Lucius in Cymbeline,
Leontes in The Winter's Tale, The Sergeant of Police in The
Pirates of Penzance, The Duke/Dr. Carrasco in Man of La Mancha,
John Barrymore in I Hate Hamlet, and Richard in Two Pianos/Four
Hands.
Favorite directing experiences include Drood, Les Liaisons
Dangereuses, The
Sound of Music, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet,
and Grease.
