JIMMY KONTOS is the artistic director
and co-education director for the local theatre
company: The Artist’s
Workshop. He is a Tallahassee native, an FSU grad,
and has been involved in over 65 local productions.
This will be his fourth time directing at TLT,
having previously directed O’Jerusalem, What
the Butler Saw, and Lend Me A Tenor.
As an actor, teacher, and director Jimmy has worked in New
York, Seattle, Chicago, and London. He has been a theatre instructor for
over twelve years and currently teaches local high schoolers and adults.
Favorite acting credits include: Krumpet the elf in Santaland Diaries,
Nathan Leopold in Never the Sinner, Garcin in No Exit,
Huckleberry Finn in Big River, and Billy Bibbit in One Flew
Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Favorite directing credits include: Say
Goodnight, Gracie, Never the Sinner, Riff Raff, and Our
Town.
