Thank you for your interest in directing a show for the Tallahassee Little Theatre’s (TLT) 2008-2009 Season. Here you will find all of the materials needed to create and submit a Director Proposal to be evaluated by our Director Selection Committee. As a community theatre, TLT is happy to accept proposals from persons with a background in theatre, as well as interested and talented amateurs. You may submit more than one proposal packet.

Please note that Mainstage productions are performed on our larger stage, to an audience of nearly 300. Coffeehouse productions are a smaller, simpler venue, intended to be less conventional and having “minimal” production elements, which are performed to an audience of approximately 70.

To apply, here is what you’ll need to do:

1. Create a Proposal Packet by completing all of the items listed in the Director Proposal Form (pdf, 100 kb).

2. Include a tentative Calendar (pdf, 203 kb) for the production of your choice.

3. Include a rough sketch of your set design for either the Mainstage (pdf, 212 kb) or Coffeehouse (pdf, 276 kb).

4. Submit your application in person, by mail, or email (instructions are on Director Proposal Form). Materials must be submitted, or postmarked by May 15, 2008.

An interview with the Director Selection Committee may be required before a final decision is made.
