Naomi Rose-Mock (Acting
Executive Director)
Naomi joins Tallahassee Little Theatre with a strong background
in marketing and sales- she was the Membership Director at the University
Center Club for almost six years. Naomi has been involved in the performing
arts since about the age of three, whether acting on the stage or playing
music, and it has always been her passion. She feels incredibly fortunate
to be able to earn a living working in the arts and is thrilled to work with
the Tallahassee community (of which she has been an active part for over
eleven years) to make TLT an even more positive and prominent participant
than ever.
Matt McCormick (Resident
Designer/Technical Director)
Matt entered into the realm of theatre later in life after
spending nearly 20 years working as a Graphic Designer, Photographer,
Art Director, and Advertising Artist. His theatrical experience came mostly
in the form of volunteering at the Old Town Playhouse, a civic theatre in
Traverse City, Michigan where learning by doing proved often to the best
teacher. He dove head first into the immense challenge working as a Props
Artisan for Sweeney Todd in 1989 and was immediately hooked. Within
a few months he found himself acting onstage in Biloxi Blues and
then he was really hooked. From props to scenic painting to acting to stage
managing to producing to directing Matt has been involved in nearly every
aspect of theatre including time served on the Artistic Board of Directors
and as President of the Board of the Leelanau Players. He has also acted
in the holiday (ballet) productions of Nutcracker and The
Sleeping Beauty at the Interlochen Arts Academy under the direction of Sharon Randolph. Matt
also served as the Company Artist and Archive Photographer for the Michigan
Ensemble Theatre
Matt comes to Tallahassee
by way of St Louis, MO. While in Missouri he worked
as a Scenic Artist for STAGES St Louis painting scenery for Man
of La Mancha,
Footloose and Hello, Dolly for their 2005 season. Among the numerous sets
he has designed and painted his favorites include Art, Chapter
Two, The
Tempest, Jesus Christ Superstar, Summer and Smoke, Crazy
for You, Great Expectations and Holiday Memories.
In November of 2005 Matt was a Guest Designer with the
Naples Players in Naples (FL) for their production of Morning's at Seven directed
by Karen Smith Hill.
Matt holds a BFA in Graphic Design from
Northern Michigan University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1986.
